Remember when you were a kid and you got invited to a birthday or a celebration and someone took care of all the special details? Do you remember how you felt about yourself when you were perhaps pampered, or taken care of? I love that feeling and I love providing it to adults!
When I am planning a retreat, I think to myself - what would be the most relaxing and non-stressful way to bring a group together? Many of us don't like to be put on the spot, or feel forced to make friends with people. That's why I design my one day micro retreats to include a variety of ways to participate. A guest could come and spend the day alone and not feel awkward about that, or they could come and chit chat and make some new connections. Both are welcome and expected! Retreats require you to pause - and we need more of that. The hustle and bustle of life, especially for women means we don't always get the chance to sit and reflect on how we are doing. I have seen so many guests leave retreats feeling refreshed and relaxed, ready to face their weeks with more self compassion. It fills me with absolute JOY to see women leave feeling more confident in themselves. 1:1 Therapy isn't for everyone - and retreats can be very therapeutic. Maybe you don't want to see a therapist one on one, but you know you would like some support - a one day retreat is a great step of self care and the benefits are huge. You arrive, connect with yourself, feel inspired by others in the room and leave with a bag of gifts - it cant get any better!
