My Approach
In our sessions you can expect a warm, compassionate and gentle approach in our collaborated efforts. I like to focus on connecting the mind and body together by checking in about where you may be storing stress physically. My approach to counselling is strengths-based, motivational and collaborative. Within your comfort level I offer moments to connect with your inner child and learn how to approach life from a grounded place by using psychosomatic techniques in each session.
I most often work within the following methodologies: Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory and Polyvagal Theory. During our initial counselling session we will overview confidentiality and consent and determine your goals for therapy. Each individual session is 50 minutes in duration. Some clients prefer to have a set number of sessions which can all be booked at once, and some prefer to book as needed. I can work with both of these styles.
