Healing Through Movement: Yoga for PTSD and Complex Trauma
This trauma-sensitive yoga offering is designed to support individuals on their journey toward healing and empowerment. Rooted in the principles of Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), this session centers around the core principles of the model: choice-making, invitational language, shared authentic experience, interoception, and non-coercion.
TCTSY has foundations in trauma theory, attachment theory, neuroscience, and hatha yoga, with an emphasis on body-based yoga forms and breathing practices. It offers a safe and nurturing space for participants to reconnect with their bodies and cultivate a sense of agency, which is often disrupted by trauma.
Through gentle and accessible movements, participants are invited to explore their own internal experiences at their own pace. This session is conducted by a certified professional trained in trauma-sensitive approaches to ensure a compassionate, non-invasive experience tailored to the unique needs of trauma survivors.
Whether you’re seeking relief from the effects of PTSD, complex trauma, or simply looking for tools to restore balance and safety within, this offering aims to provide a supportive pathway toward recovery.
