At Olivia Therapy & Retreats, we offer trauma-sensitive yoga in London, Ontario for individuals seeking a gentle, supportive approach to movement and healing. Yoga can be a powerful tool for calming the nervous system, increasing self-awareness, and restoring a sense of safety in the body. Our trauma-sensitive yoga classes are designed for people of all backgrounds and abilities, including those living with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, or chronic stress. Whether you are new to yoga or returning after time away, our approach prioritizes choice, comfort, and connection over performance.

Trauma-sensitive yoga is a body-based practice that recognizes how trauma affects the nervous system and sense of agency. Rather than focusing on poses or physical achievement, this approach emphasizes choice-making, invitational language, non-coercion, and awareness of internal sensations. Our offerings are rooted in Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), an evidence-based adjunctive treatment for PTSD and complex trauma that integrates trauma theory, attachment theory, neuroscience, and hatha yoga. Trauma-sensitive yoga supports trauma recovery by helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and rebuild a sense of agency. Through gentle movement and breathing practices, participants are invited to move at their own pace in a safe and predictable environment.

While especially beneficial for PTSD and complex trauma, this practice can support anyone seeking a calmer, more attuned relationship with movement. 
All trauma-sensitive yoga classes at Olivia Therapy & Retreats are led by Krish, a certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F) and registered 500-hour Yoga Alliance teacher. Since 2017, Krish has completed over 1,000 trainings across mind-body modalities and is deeply committed to trauma-sensitive, evidence-based care.

We currently offer the following trauma-sensitive yoga options in London, Ontario:
  • 1:1 Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Sessions - Private 1 Hour Sessions, $125
  • Candlelit Yin Yoga - Sundays at 7:00 PM, $25
  • Trauma-Sensitive Group Class - Mondays at 6:30 PM, $30
  • Trauma Informed Facilitation Training YACEP Certified - April 24-26, 20 Hours
