Why Massage Therapy is Important

Massage therapy is important for several reasons, benefiting both physical and mental well-being. At our clinic we believe in the mind-body connection when managing stress, and our RMT understands the importance of tending to the physical and emotional symptoms in a multidisciplinary approach. Here are some of the benefits of massage:

Relieving Muscle Tension & Pain
Massage helps release tight muscles, reduce knots, and improve flexibility. It can also alleviate chronic pain conditions like back pain, migraines, and arthritis.
Reducing Stress & Anxiety
Massage therapy lowers cortisol (stress hormone) levels while increasing serotonin and dopamine, which improve mood and relaxation. This helps reduce stress, anxiety, and even symptoms of depression.
Improving Circulation
By stimulating blood flow, massage helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues, promoting faster healing of injuries and reducing swelling or inflammation.
Enhancing Sleep Quality
Massage promotes relaxation and can help with insomnia by encouraging deeper, more restful sleep.
Promoting Mental Clarity & Focus

Relaxing the body also relaxes the mind, leading to improved concentration, mental clarity, and productivity

Massage Therapy for Vagus Nerve

Restore calm. Reconnect with your body. Reset your nervous system.
This gentle, therapeutic massage is designed to stimulate the vagus nerve— your body’s natural pathway to relaxation and healing. The vagus nerve plays a key role in regulating stress, digestion, heart rate, and emotional balance. When activated through intentional touch and breathwork, it can help shift your body out of “fight or flight” and into a state of deep rest and repair.

What to Expect

During your session, we’ll use soothing techniques around the neck, jaw, ears, chest, and diaphragm—areas where the vagus nerve is most
accessible. You may also be guided through calming breathwork or gentle craniosacral holds to enhance the effect. This is a deeply restorative experience, ideal for those dealing with:
•  Chronic stress or anxiety
•  Digestive issues
•  Sleep disturbances
•  Burnout or emotional overwhelm
•  Nervous system dysregulation

How You’ll Feel

Clients often report feeling lighter, more grounded, and emotionally balanced after just one session. You may notice improved sleep, reduced tension, and a greater sense of inner calm in the days that follow.

Can I use insurance?

Yes! If you have insurance you will be able to get these services reimbursed PLUS we have direct billing for many insurance providers. If you have any questions please let us know by emailing [email protected]

Do you offer prenatal massage?

Yes!
Please indicate on your intake form that you are booking a prenatal massage, and the proper accommodations will be prepared.

What is Cupping Therapy?

Cupping is a therapy that applies negative pressure on the skin using glass, plastic, or silicone cups. The suction created by these cups stimulates and increases blood flow, which can help relieve joint and muscle pain, reduce inflammation, accelerate recovery, increase the function of the lymphatic and circulatory systems and increase overall relaxation and well-being. Cupping may also aid in the healing of scars and surrounding tissues.

If you are interested in booking cupping therapy with your massage, please select the appropriate treatment. We can add cupping last minute to your treatment, but please note there will be an additional 15.00 charge.
